UAN & fertilizers

Nowadays most agricultural enterprises use liquid fertilizers in their operations, such as urea-ammonium-nitrate solutions (UAN), aqueous ammonia, anhydrous ammonia and liquid nitrogen fertilizers. The question of storing fertilizers often arises, so that they are, as the saying goes, «close at hand» when needed. A UAN storage facility is one or several tanks that can be linked together on the communicating-vessels principle for quick and easy withdrawal of the required amount of fertilizer.

Areas of application:

• Farms, agro-industrial complexes and the wholesale fertilizer trade. The main advantage of a UAN storage facility is the availability of fertilizer at any time, regardless of weather conditions, financial means, price fluctuations or the dollar exchange rate. You buy once a season and use it as needed.

Advantages of UAN storage tanks:

• The highest membrane quality makes it possible to store aggressive substances such as UAN
• Installing UAN tanks requires only minimal general construction work
• Disassembled, UAN tanks are very compact (a 2,000 m³ tank is transported by a single truck)
• If necessary, UAN tanks can be disassembled and transported for installation at another location
• No lifting equipment is needed to assemble UAN tanks
• UAN tanks can be installed underground
• 350 size variants: from 25 to 4,000 m³ for above-ground tanks, and from 25 to 900 m³ for underground ones.
• Any piping arrangement can be fitted to the tanks.
• The tanks can be insulated with expanded polystyrene and fitted with a heating system.
