Fire-fighting

Fire-reserve tanks (firefighting tanks, fire-protection reservoirs) are an essential element for ensuring the fire protection of a facility.

Areas of use

Fire tanks are installed where drawing water from a water-supply source is economically unviable, technically impracticable, or insufficient in volume to extinguish a fire. Installing fire tanks is also important in places where access for fire engines is limited or difficult. Fire tanks are needed first and foremost in high-risk locations such as petrol stations, oil depots and fuel-and-lubricant warehouses, as well as in hospitals, schools, manufacturing plants, shopping centres and residential districts.

Advantages of modular fire tanks:

• Fire tanks can be installed both indoors and outdoors
• Fire tanks can be installed underground
• Installing fire tanks requires only minimal general construction work
• Fire tanks are quick to assemble (100 m³ in a single day)
• Fire tanks can be installed in hard-to-reach places such as basements.
• No lifting equipment is needed to assemble the tanks.
• 350 size variants: from 25 to 4,000 m³ for above-ground tanks, and from 25 to 900 m³ for underground ones.
• Any piping arrangement can be fitted to fire tanks, including connections to fire hydrants.

Additional options:

• To reduce heat loss, the fire tanks are insulated with expanded polystyrene
• For winter operation, an electric heating system is installed (a heating element with a control system).
• For every fire tank we prepare a thermal calculation that determines the insulation thickness and the heating-element power.
