Tank Piping and Fittings

Water enters the tank either through the roof (a pipe inlet without a fitting) or through a side fitting made in the upper part of the tank. The side inlet fitting is a pipe with a diameter of 32–160 mm with threading and nuts. The fitting's tightness is ensured by rubber gaskets. The fitting ends with a flange. The fitting is galvanized.

Water is drawn from the tank either through a side outlet fitting in the lower part of the tank (galvanized, with a flange) or through the bottom of the tank. The diameter of the side drain fitting is from 32 to 350 mm. The side drain fitting does not provide complete emptying of the tank (about 10 cm remains).

If complete drainage of the tank is required, or if the drain fitting diameter exceeds 160 mm, a bottom drain is installed. A pipe (metal, PVC, PE, PP) is run into the tank through the bottom and secured with a clamp. The diameter of the bottom fitting is unlimited. Side water intake is often installed in tanks, since piping connections are easier to make with a side fitting. A small-diameter bottom drain (40–50 mm) is additionally installed to periodically empty and clean the tank completely.

Overflow is handled through a side fitting. This fitting is mounted similarly to the inlet fitting, slightly above it, and ends with a flange.

In addition to the basic connection kit, floats and valves, a measuring scale, pumps, any sensors, and other connection elements required by the Customer can be installed.
