Tank Body and Liner
The tank body is made of galvanized corrugated steel, 1–4 mm thick.
Steel technical specifications:
- yield strength — 350 N/mm²;
- zinc coating — minimum 275 g/m²;
- sheet size — 3000×1150 mm.
The body of each tank, as well as the bolted connections, is calculated for strength by our company's specialists. The average safety factor is 2; the minimum safety factor is 1.5. The sheets are joined together with bolted connections. The bolts have a strength class of 8.8, a special round head, and additional anti-corrosion coating.
On large tanks, the wall has external stiffeners and wind rings.
The liner is made of a polypropylene membrane.
Membrane specifications:
- density — 0.89 kg/m³;
- thickness — 0.75 and 0.6 mm;
- tensile strength — 18 MPa;
- elongation at break — 250 %;
- operating temperature — from −20 to +80 °C;
- puncture resistance — 150 N;
- working temperature — from −30 to +80 °C.
The membrane is UV-stabilized and can be used for storing drinking water and food products. Color: black.
Thanks to the membrane thickness of 0.6 or 0.75 mm, the liner is flexible, stretches well, and returns to its original shape. A protective fabric is installed between the liner and the galvanized sheets, as well as on the bottom of the tank. High-density, moisture-resistant geotextile is used as the protective fabric. The geotextile prevents friction and abrasion of the liner against the bottom or metal walls of the tank. The geotextile thickness is 1 mm.
The tank wall is fastened to the foundation with expansion anchors. No embedded elements in the foundation are required for this. The anchors prevent the tank from shifting or overturning under wind load.
